A "Wednesday's Child" Performs with Stevie Wonder

Wednesday's Child Marlon meets Stevie Wonder

Marlon, a teen in foster care who is hoping to be adopted, recently joined music legend Stevie Wonder on an Atlanta Fox 5 Wednesday's Child news feature.

The Freddie Mac Foundation's Wednesday's Child program helps find adoptive homes for children in foster care in Atlanta and four other cities across the nation. More than 1500 children – with special needs or in sibling groups – have found permanent homes through the program.

During a concert rehearsal, Marlon spent time with Stevie Wonder. He was also Mr. Wonder's special guest at the concert and even had the honor of performing a rap song on stage, with the 20,000-strong audience cheering him on.

Children have appeared on Wednesday's Child with a number of other special hosts including John Travolta, Ludacris, Jeff Gordon, Laila Ali, Kobe Bryant and Jenna Bush, as well as numerous sports stars. They've also had exciting experiences such as copiloting the GoodYear blimp, cooking with famous chefs and getting driving tips from NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.
