Adoptive and Foster Parent Resources

Want to learn more about adoption and becoming a foster parent? In this section, you'll find information on the Freddie Mac Foundation's Wednesday's Child adoption program, as well as links to resources for prospective and current adoptive and foster parents.

Adopt Through the Freddie Mac Foundation's Wednesday's Child

Wednesday's Child – an Emmy Award-nominated program with a proven track record of success – is part of our national campaign to increase adoptions of children in foster care.

View the Wednesday's Child brochure.

Each week, in five major cities across the nation, children waiting to be adopted are featured in local television news segments. Hosted by popular local newscasters, the segments highlight each child's special qualities and interests.

Learn About the Children Waiting to be Adopted

The campaign reaches beyond local airwaves to include each child on the National Adoption Center's website. Watch the Wednesday's Child T.V. segments on NBC-4.

The Freddie Mac Foundation is proud to join with local television stations and child welfare organizations to find adoptive homes for children in foster care. Our partners, geographic areas and Wednesday's Child broadcast days and times, are:
