April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and for the fourth year,
the Freddie Mac Foundation is providing valuable parenting information,
in English and Spanish below, to help keep children safe and to
strengthen families.
Each year, more than three million children are the victims of
child abuse and neglect. And every day, up to three children die
from it.
The Freddie Mac Foundation has made preventing child abuse and
neglect a top priority, through our support of parent education
and efforts like Healthy Families
America, an in-home parenting program.
Today's families face a number of challenges that can make parenting
seem overwhelming. Regardless of their situation, all families can
use the support of their community to make the important job of
